Strong rental demand and falling vacancy rates continues to dominate the Perth market. The strong demand in the rental market continued through August with increases to the median rent, listing volumes and days to lease have been reduced.

Who would have thought we would be in this position just 3 months after COVID-19 restrictions were first introduced in Western Australia. Social distancing measures and restrictions have been eased not only in Western Australia, but around the country. This has resulted in the return to a more "normal" life earlier than initially expected. Unemployment figures have now been revised from the forecast of 10% in the June quarter. Consumer and business confidence is increasing weekly as the decrease of COVID-19 cases and restrictions are lifting around Australia.

Salter Point is an affluent riverside suburb within the City of South Perth. Bound by the Canning River in the east, south and west, Salter Point has a total land area of two square kilometres. Major development occurred during the 1950s and 1960s with gradual increases experienced since the mid 1990s. The median house price is $927,500 with a population of 2847 and median age of 45.
