Highest Growth Since March 2021

Perth housing values continued to accelerate in November, posting the largest monthly gain in 32 months, according to CoreLogic data. The 1.9% increase represents a new peak and the eighth consecutive month of growth.

Listings for sale in Perth were almost 40% below the five-year average for this time of the year, and purchasing activity is high. The result of the imbalance in supply and demand is that housing prices are steadily being pushed upwards.

Recent Domain data also shows that the suburbs where houses are snapped up the fastest were not the highly competitive suburbs of Sydney or Melbourne. Perth suburbs were the fastest selling in the country.

With interest rates being left on hold until February next year, the future is looking bright for the Perth property market. Perth is still a very affordable capital city which represents good value, and that is further supported by a very tight rental market.
